SARAH'S STORY
As the owner of Dolce Vita Beaute in Newtown, I am deeply honoured to share that our skincare clinic has joined the WORSHIPP Campaign by dedicating one of our treatment rooms to the memory of Dr Sarah Barlow — a paediatrician, pioneering medical researcher, and someone who meant far more to us than simply a loyal client.
Sarah lost her two-year battle with colon cancer in 2021 at just 37 years old. In true Sarah fashion, she spent her final years not focused on herself, but on helping others. She founded the Dr Sarah Barlow Bowel Cancer Foundation to support research into early diagnosis and treatment for young adults — a group for whom there is still no routine screening or diagnostic process. Her mission was clear: to prevent other young people from facing the devastating reality she endured.
For us at Dolce Vita Beaute, Sarah was unforgettable. She had a vibrant presence — poised, polished, always with her signature pearls — and she radiated warmth, intelligence, and bravery. Even through her illness, she remained committed to uplifting others. Losing her in 2021 left a profound ache in our hearts.
Dedicating a treatment room to Sarah felt like the most meaningful way for us to ensure her spirit stays woven into the fabric of our salon. When I learned about the WORSHIPP Campaign, it resonated deeply. It gave us the opportunity to create a permanent tribute that truly reflects who Sarah was and what she stood for.
This room is more than a space for facials — it is a daily reminder of the impact Sarah had on everyone who knew her. By sharing her story and speaking her name, we keep her memory alive. And each time someone steps into that room, we hope they feel even a small part of the light, courage, and compassion that Sarah brought into the world.
She’ll always be remembered here. And she will always be celebrated.
