WHAT IS IPL?

IPL (Intense pulsed light) is a technology used by cosmetic and medical practitioners to perform various skin treatments for aesthetic and therapeutic purposes, including hair removal, photorejuvenation, Rosacea management, Pigmentation, Vascular concerns such as capilleries/red spots as well as to alleviate dermatologic diseases such as acne.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

IPL uses light energy and filters to target different depths in the skin to reach the target we are aiming to destroy. With a handheld device, we will target multiple wavelengths of light onto the skin, this light heats cells in the skin and breaks them down. The body then removes the damaged tissue naturally.

DOES IT HURT?

This will vary depending on which IPL skin treatment you’re getting and how your skin responds. We will explain in more detail during a thorough and in depth consultation.

STAFF TRAINING?

Our therapists are trained extensively in IPL and continue to update our knowledge through the online training portal. We have been offering IPL services within Dolce Vita Beaute for over 10 years.

IPL CONSULTATION:

Prior to treatment, we conduct a thorough skin consultation and test patch to assess whether you are a good candidate for the procedure. The consultation costs $30.00 and is redeemable when you commence your treatment.

Pricing is per treatment and every treatment can be purchased in a package of 6 where you only pay for 5 or a package of 10 where you only pay for 8.

IPL for Skin Rejuvenation revitalises your skin by stimulating collagen production to visibly reduce imperfections. The benefits include firmer skin, reduced pore size and a more even-textured, youthful appearance.

IPL Skin Rejuvenation is a non-invasive treatment that emits powerful bursts of light energy to produce collagen and elastin, treating conditions and blemishes including freckles and sunspots without damaging the surface of the skin.

IPL for Pigmentation is an effective treatment using light therapy to break down melanin in the skin to help fade pigmentation, remove age spots and discolouration to greatly improve  the overall skin tone.

IPL for Pigmentation treatments work by transmitting heat from the IPL light through to the pigmented skin areas. The IPL technology is attracted to dark pigmentation, effectively drawing the discolouration to the surface of the skin, allowing the dermis to begin the healing process of correcting the blemishes.

We can target solar lentigos, sun spots, age spots and freckles- this treatment can even be performed on the hands. 

IPL for Vascular treats superficial red/darker red and purple capillaries, rosacea, red spots/red moles, angiomas, poikiloderma and red scarring. It works by blasting damaged vessels back into the bloodstream, allowing the body to reabsorb these vessels a few days after treatment.

IPL for Rosacea uses controlled light in specific wavelengths to alleviate the inflammation, redness, pimples and uneven skin tones caused by the condition. IPL offers a gentle, long-lasting maintenance for those suffering from Rosacea by providing a gradual and natural improvement to the skin’s appearance.

Rosacea is a chronic skin condition which expresses itself in redness on the face and sometimes on the neck and chest. The cause of Rosacea is still unknown.

This treatment will need maintenance every 6 months.

IPL for Acne uses yellow, green and red light emitted through a series of  impulses onto the skin. The yellow and green light acts to kill the bacteria that cause acne and live in the skin, while the red light targets the sebaceous glands, stopping them from producing too much sebum.
