Skin Needling (AKA Micro Needling or Collagen induction therapy) is your go-to treatment for boosting collagen and elastin production.
How does Skin Needling work?
Skin Needling is a fast, effective, non surgical and minimally invasive procedure for your skin, it involves a trained medical practitioner using a handheld device to create hundreds of microscopic needle impressions in the skin on the face or body.
As the treatment pen is passed over the face, it creates controlled microinjuries and prompts the derma, a deeper layer of skin, to mount a healing response, delivering a natural collagen boost. The tiny channels in the skin made by the needles also allows for deeper absorption of topical treatments after treatment.
What does Skin Needling treat?
As well as general rejuvenation, Skin Needling is an effective treatment for a range of different skin concerns, such as:

Does Skin Needling hurt?
No, for the majority of people, Skin Needling isn’t considered to be painful. While some slight discomfort may be experienced, we take steps to keep this to a minimum and treat on a setting suitable to each client’s pain threshold/comfort levels.
What is the after care advice?
For 48 hours:
-No heat on the skin (avoid hot showers)
-No make up
-Clean pillow case
-Clean your glasses or anything touching the skin with alcohol wipes
-Use Hyaluronic acid AM & PM
-Sunscreen must be worn in the day
-No actives or exfoliation for 3 – 5 days
What to expect:
For the first 1 – 2 days: you will feel heat (like a mild sunburn). Then your skin will look glowy and tight. Then your skin will look dry and flakey and that’s when you can add in a home exfoliation usually after day 5.
TIP: Come back at day 5 for a gentle scrub and a hydrating mask with LED.
How many sessions of Skin Needling will I need?
This will vary from client to client based on a consultation. Some skin concerns may only need one session whereas others may need 3-6 sessions. Some clients get Skin Needling as an ongoing maintenance all through the year. We can discuss this during a consultation.
